African Union Advisory Board Against Corruption Convenes 51st Ordinary Session in Arusha

The African Union Advisory Board Against Corruption (AUABC) will hold its 51st Ordinary Session from the 2nd to 7th of March 2026 in Arusha, the United Republic of Tanzania. The week-long session will feature a high-level agenda focused on governance, legal collaboration, and the continent’s anti-corruption review mechanism.

One of the key highlights of the session will be the Board’s participation in the Opening of the 2026 Judicial Year of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR). This marks a significant moment of synergy between the African Union’s judicial and advisory organs, reinforcing the continental body's holistic approach to human rights and good governance. The Board’s presence at the Court’s ceremony underscores the interdependence of judicial integrity, the rule of law, and the fight against corruption. Another highlight will be the Board’s participation in the Plenary Session of the 25th Ordinary Session of the EAC Heads of State on 7th March 2026.
