Hon. Principe Ntibasume was elected to the African Union Advisory Board Against Corruption (AUABC) in 2023 as the representative for the Central African Region and currently serves as the Board’s Rapporteur.
With a distinguished career in anti-corruption and financial investigations, Hon. Ntibasume is the Head of the Asset Recovery Department at Burundi’s Financial Intelligence Unit. His extensive experience includes serving as Burundi’s focal person for the Global Network of Anti-Corruption Authorities (GlobE Network), Investigation Officer at the Special Anti-Corruption Brigade of Burundi, and Focal Point for the Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network for Eastern Africa (ARIN-EA). Additionally, he has contributed to international efforts as part of the INTERPOL Anti-Corruption Unit.
