Gnansounou Elisabeth Fourn
Hon. Gnansounou Fourn, of Benin nationality, was elected as a member of the AUABC during the 30th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 25th to 27th January 2017. She took the oath on 24th July 2017 during the inaugural session of the Board held in Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania, at the headquarters of the AUABC. Hon. Fourn was elected by her peers as Rapporteur of the Board during the same session, for a renewable mandate of 2 years.
Hon. Fourn is a lecturer-researcher in the department of Sociology Anthropology at the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC). She is also an expert in “Gender and Development” and “Population Issues”, (anti-corruption); fertility, family planning and reproductive health. Hon. Fourn is also a member of the National Anti-Corruption Authority in Benin.
