Courtesy Visit of the Tanzanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Tanzanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation paid a courtesy visit to the African Union Advisory Board on Corruption.

The delegation was led by Prof. Adolphe Mkenda, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry. Also present was Ms. Caroline Chipeta, Director of Legal Services; Gwantwa Mwaisaka, Foreign Service Officer and Elisha Suku, Foreign Service Officer.

The meeting discussed collaboration between AUABC and the Ministry in ensuring the effective operations of the AUABC. The delegation reassured AUABC of the governments commitment to continue to host AUABC as well as contribute to the fight against corruption which is the AU theme of the Year.

On its part, AUABC Executive Secretary commended the support given by the government of the United Republic of Tanzania in ensuring the AUABC is comfortable at its current seat and welcomed the developments towards construction of a permanent premises for the Board.
